Home Credit launched its operations in 2007 after acquiring a controlling stake in OAO Lorobank in December 2006. In 2007 OAO Lorobank was renamed and now operates as Home Credit Bank (“HC Belarus”), becoming the first entrant in the consumer finance market and now has almost 211,000 active clients (as of 31 December 2012).
HC Belarus provides both credit and deposit products and currently operates via 1,993 POS outlets, 31 own branches and direct marketing channels (as of 31 December 2012). A market pioneer, HC Belarus has already become the consumer finance market leader in Belarus with a 38% market share* (as of 31 December 2010).
